Health & Human Services: A Community Conversation - Oct. 30 at 6:30 pm
The public is invited to “HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES: A Community Conversation,” the eleventh in a series of meetings sponsored by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition to review and revise each of the 12 topic areas included in the 2008 Community Sustainability Action Plan. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, in the main meeting room of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Avenue.
The Community Sustainability Action Plan is based on ideas gathered from hundreds of community members who attended three town hall meetings in 2008. It outlines the Corvallis community’s goals, strategies and actions in 12 topic areas: Community Inclusion, Economic Vitality, Education, Energy, Food, Health and Human Services, Housing, Land Use, Natural Areas, Transportation, Waste Prevention, and Water.
The Coalition’s Health & Human Services Action Team has drafted a revised set of goals, strategies and actions that will be presented at the October 30th meeting for the purpose of getting feedback and additional ideas from the community. After gathering feedback and ideas at the October 30th meeting, the Health & Human Services section of the Action Plan will be revised and included in the final 2013 Action Plan.
Both the 2008 Health & Humans Services Action Plan and the proposed revisions are available at www.sustainablecorvallis.org.
This meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, contact info@sustainablecorvallis.org or call 541-230-1237.
